Japan in Brazil?

Who knew? This is why I travel: to learn things. Sao Paulo in Brazil has the largest population of Japanese people outside of Japan.
I'm so glad. Japanese food is better than Portuguese food, if you ask me.
I tried the fried sushi with no regrets. I ended up passing on the ice-cream because I was too full. I wanted to try the one called "buffalo milk". Although I'm usually not that brave, Ron loves the weird foods. I try to stick with things I can pronounce, as a rule of thumb.
I think we finally settled on one of the many restaurants because the waitress standing outside looking for customers had beautiful lavender hair. Japanese Christmas music was emanating from behind her, and it was fun.

A view while walking around the Japanese section. This is the city that never ends.

I'm surprised there were not some Samurai murals. The interesting thing was that the crosswalk signs were the Japanese arches (like in the 3rd picture in this post), red for stop and green for go. Instead of a red hand and a green walking man.

For under $2 I found colorful 3D notebooks as easy to pack souvenirs. We came to Japan town often. Just looking in store windows was fun.
