Some people like to edit

I love to blog because it keeps me positive. It's a public forum, so why would I whine and throw dirt? I love to blog more than I love to write a book, because I don't have to edit if I don't want to. A good writer has to edit and rewrite and edit again if they want to be published. I haven't found a way to enjoy that yet. So my book about a Goddess in training will have to wait.
You probably won't believe me, but I tried several times to delete this first picture of me and my husband. I was just being goofy, we are seldom in the same picture. I don't even like how my hair looks, but I liked the moment we were in. Walking a beach in Costa Rica. This picture reminds me of the whole selfy generation. I've taken a lot of pictures of myself over the years. Mostly because I have an international Momma and it was a good way to share with her. I think people take pictures of themselves these days because they are trying to identify with themselves from the outside in. When it should be from the inside out. I also think I should try harder to figure out this computer because editing pictures is something I love very much.

Can you see the rays of the lowered sun as it sinks into someone else's tomorrow? Cell phones have such amazing cameras in them these days. I remember the old days when I had to buy a camera, buy the film, take all the pictures on the roll while hoping for the best, then take it to be developed and wait for the results. Then I would go home and call my friends and tell them about the pictures on my phone that was plugged into the wall, with a base and a receiver to talk into. Once upon a time.

Was this a piece of tree, or cement? I don't even know. The beach brings different things every day.
It's all in the angle. These are two pictures of the same thing.

Sunset over the water with a sky uninterrupted by clouds. Watching the colors change and the lighting ebb - that is a very peaceful way to end the day. I find it so soothing.  Except it's only 5:30pm so there's still time to blog.

I couldn't decide whose sunset picture I liked better. Ron's is the orange one above. Mine is the one below. Do I have to choose? Not always. I can include both. Don't be too jealous of these pictures, I didn't include any photos of my legs with all the mosquito bites. I'm not going to write about how much they itch and they are big round dots like major cities marked on a map that draw my attention. Except its the attention of a scratch on an itch that feels like a type of minor insanity. If I let it. I can't scratch if I'm typing. You know what works? I'm assuming you already know how out of the ordinary I am. I'll call myself extraordinary, it sounds better. But guess what I heard, and tried, and proved successful on bug bites?? Deoderant. #thestruggleisreal
