From Mexico to Southern Utah

My favorite part of Cabo San Lucas was the people we met around the pool. Followed by walking the beach.

The riptide is bad on this beach, and one day we were walking on a semi deserted stretch of beach and heard a noise. It looked like two men were out beyond the first set of waves and calling for help. A third man went to help them and got them rescued back to shore as the lifeguard arrived on scene. It was immense relief that they were alright.

Then we were back on a plane again. Time for some more cloud therapy. I am so blessed to have a husband who has flown so much that he always agrees I can have the window seat. And the clouds, they soothe me on a fundamental level. The sky is a much better artist than I am. I like to sit in awe of the endless designs and contemplate the heavens.

We always fly out of Las Vegas, and this is in the picture. I lived there for almost twenty years and almost never saw it from this view, I never went to the airport except the first year.

Oh the contrast. Sandy warm beaches in opposition to the snow in my back yard. We stayed home for 33 days before leaving on our next grand adventure.

Have faith, my friends. It was back in maybe 2002 that I found an affirmation to read daily. "My life is a grand adventure!" Believe me, please know, that back then I was nowhere near the adventure and travel that I now have. So don't wait for things happen, start expecting them to happen. Be ready to wait, because one can never knows if things will happen quickly or slowly. The trick is to start to begin to believe in any way you can. A few years after that I collected maps and put them as wallpaper in my bedroom. My dreams were waiting, waiting for my youngest son to turn 18. And then all of my travel dreams were ready to begin. It is okay if dreams wait, they are worth waiting for. They are still worth dreaming. The catch is that they can do damage in making me frustrated that they they sometimes feel so elusive. Yet they can enrich the waiting if I spend the waiting while imagining how amazing it will be living the dream one day.
